Prekognitivni institut za industrijsko vlasništvo - workshop by RYBN.ORG collective

Only a day after the opening of The Curiosity Cabinet of Industrial Property exhibition, artist collective RYBN.ORG will give an interesting workshop at Filodrammatica (Korzo 28/1, Rijeka), entitled Precognitive Institute for Industrial Propertyon Friday, 2 September, 2022, from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m.

In this workshop, RYBN.ORG invites participants to juxtapose and negotiate striking similarities between the imagination of Philip K. Dick and the propaganda of the Big Tech industry. In the form of a collective experiment, participants will collaborate to form hybrids of existing patents and speculative science-fiction literature. These processes can include but are not limited to generating digital and analog visualizations or rearranging texts.

The workshop aims to forge potential patents that could, in the long term, prevent Dick’s fantasies from actually being implemented by the tech industry, and ultimately avoid nightmarish premonitions from becoming reality.

The workshop will be held in English. Send your applications by e-mail at until 1 September. Admission is free.
