Exhibition “Wide, distant plains/Velike daleke ravnine”, Artists: Oleg Morović, Andi Pekica, Oleg Šuran

Drugo more is pleased to present “Wide, distant plains”, an exhibition by Oleg Morović, Andi Pekica and Oleg Šuran. You can join us on Friday May 2 at 7 pm, for the exhibition opening and to meet the artists.

plakatIn the exhibition, the artists present a series of artworks in design, poetry and painting which traces their work as a group of three. Oleg Maurović and Oleg Šuran were previously students of Andi Pekica. They have been collaborating on exhibitions and putting up together a poetry journal (“Polet”) since 2011. Their student-teacher experience was useful, and served as an inspiration. During the exhibition, they are peers.

frajeri_sa_StojeThe selected works from the exhibition represent a three year work by Oleg & Oleg, i.e. their design posters, design publications, design material, Andi’s paintings from the series “Big Blek, new poets, transparent dogs and us – Stoja boys” thematising the size of Blek obviously, the transparency of dogs and more. The works, as well as the selected poems from the journal “Polet” are presented at the exhibition as time stamps, and their web address www.nakonjusmo.net serves as a grand archive, i.e. the big narrative of the trio. The exhibition remains open until May 12.

Oleg Šuran is a part of the European project Urban IxD and is an assistant professor at the Academy of Arts in Split (Design and Visual Communications department). Oleg Morović works at a print shop. Andi Pekica is currently finishing his tomato watering system. The group has collaborated on several occasions, at different exhibitions in the country and worldwide.
