In the exhibition, the students present a series of artworks that were made during their educational tour that thematises World War One. The topic, however, is not limited to war itself, but inspired by different forms and war strategies that changed from what was once an archaic war to what is now a contemporary industrialised technological war.
The tour started in Zagreb, and it continues to Petrova Gora, Kozara, Sarajavo, Konjic and Mostar and ends in Rijeka. Art and design students of mixed age (Year 1 – Year 4) will, together with their professors – Norbert Hinterberger and Naomi T. Salmon, describe their impressions from the tour and the resulting artwork. They will do a formal presentation of a sort – but including the audience.
