The DM Gallery has been operating since 2014 and is a continuation of the Drugo more activities related to visual and new media arts that have been ongoing since 2002. Program systematically presents exhibitions of contemporary and media art and it’s foundation consists of artistic installations and works that utilize digital technology, artificial intelligence, and algorithms to express a certain critical perspective on contemporary events in the world. The program examines various social phenomena and processes, issues related to our natural environment, and the direction of development of our civilization, all through the lens of contemporary artistic practices.

So far, we have presented a number of artists and artistic groups through solo exhibitions, among which we can single out: !Mediengruppe Bitnik, Kyriaki Goni, Mario Santamaria, César Escudero Andaluz, Martín Nadal, Silvio Lorusso, Sebastian Schmieg, James Bridle, Oliver Ressler, Igor Eškinja, Marko Batista, Robertina Šebjanič, Saša Spačal, Vuk Ćosić, Jennifer Lyn Morone, Elisa Giardina Papa, Maja Smrekar, Marie Reinert, Slaven Tolj, Mirko Ilić, Marko Tadić, Viktor Popović, Andreja Kulunčić, Helena Nikonole, and many others. We have realized group exhibitions with curators such as Iris Dressler and Hans D. Christ, Tatiana Bazzichelli, Predrag Pajdić, Fatima Hallberg, Eva and Franko Mattes, Avital Barak, Udi Edelman, James Bridle and Inke Arns, and numerous group exhibitions have been presented important authors of contemporary art, such as: Ai Weiwei, Hito Steyerl, Trevor Paglen, Julian Oliver, John Smith, Mark Leckey, Daniel García Andújar, Laura Poitras, Evan Roth, Jill Magid, Simon Denny, Constant Dullaart, Babi Badalov and numerous other authors and artists groups.

 

The DM Gallery is a year-round exhibition program held in the Filodrammatica Gallery (Korzo 28/1, Rijeka). Since 2014, this space has been managed by Drugo more, which profiled the space as a space for contemporary art with a focus on artworks by domestic and foreign artists that express themselves through art installations, intermedial and new media works. Both established and younger artists find their place in the program, and in addition to 6-7 exhibitions per year that are held as part of the DM Gallery program, the space also hosts the group exhibition of the Mine, yours, ours festival, as well as guest exhibitions of other organizations.
