What happens when we can no longer hold it in? When the pressure becomes so intense one can no longer control? Pissed starts from a bodily need familiar to us all to explore the tension between holding on and letting go – in the female body, in our emotions, and in everyday life.
Barbara Kukovec and Minca Lorenci explore different forms of urgency, their causes and consequences. In the space between a need and its fulfilment, a whole spectrum of feelings emerges: anticipation, doubt, panic, fear, desire, pleasure, and relief. Playing with the ambiguity of the title, this direct and playful performance speaks about control and release and, in the words of its authors, reveals “that there are countless reasons why we are pissed.”
