Slovenian Transversal is an intimate and emotional piece that combines documentary and autofiction in which Rok Kravanja examines his own relationship with concepts of homeland, identity, and belonging. Through carefully choreographed movement, motifs of mountaineering, everyday life, and national myths, he journeys across the Slovenian landscape as well as through his own history exploring what it means to love the country one comes from while also questioning it. On this journey along the Slovenian Transversal, the author encounters his father, the power of nature, and the rigidity of national and gender imperatives, transcending both external and internal landscapes to finally discover and embrace his own identity.
Admission is free // no reservations // free tickets can be picked up at the venue one hour before the start of each performance, subject to venue capacity
